Configure Notifications


Notifications are emails sent by the SMTP and POP3 proxies when certain events occur. Before using the notification system, it has to be configured:

  • navigate to System -> Notifications -> Administrators and define the email address of the administrator who should receive those emails

  • navigate to System -> Notifications -> SMTP Servers and define an SMTP server; this server should relay your Syneto appliance (in other words, should allow the Syneto appliance to send emails through it)

With the notification system in place, event recipients can be selected from Email->Settings accesing the Notifications section.
