Overview
The Antispam engine is the most important part of the Email Protection system. With literally millions of spam messages heading for your inbox every month, optimal configuration of this service is essential to improving the efficiency of your network and staff.
Syneto implements a 2 layer scanning engine for your protection [Fig. 1]:
- 1st Layer – 3 protection engines at SMTP protocol level (Greylist, Tarpit, IP Reputation) scans for clues about the SPAM status of the incoming message.
- 2nd Layer – refers to content based scanning. At this level, another 2 engines check each email and it’s contents: Bayesian Filter and Syneto Antivirus.

The user retains full control over any suspicious email’s destination, being able to configure any details and settings related to the email scanning process.
