NFS Sharing
Sharing a folder via NFS
Syneto Storage uses both NFSv3 and NFSv4 stacks to support folders sharing via NFS. To view the hosts allowed to access a folder in NFS go to Folders & VDisks, select the folder from the tree view and then navigate to the ‘NFS share’ tab.
You can also view all the folders that allow NFS access in the Shares menu section. To allow access to a host for accessing the folder via NFS click the “Allow new host” button.
Hostname represents the ip or hostname that will access the share. Access type can be Read/Write or Read-Only. By enabling root access you will allow the user connecting to that share to control it as user root.
NFS sharing can be globally enabled/disabled from the shares section. See the image below.
